Ewa and Europe
„Ewa and Europe” is a captivating novel that takes readers on a remarkable journey through 35 years in the lives of the family composed of Ewa (mother), Javier ( his Spanish husband) and Europa (their daughter). Written by the Polish EU official who hold a significant position in the European Parliament, the author, deeply familiar with European institutions, crafts a vibrant story set in the halls and corridors of European offices, the lively streets of Brussels, its bustling cafes but also in the intimity of home and in different places of the world.
The narrative explores the complex, multi-layered history of a family and the intricate relationship between mother and daughter. Their emotions, dilemmas, and desires offer a snapshot of contemporary life, set against the backdrop of a world in transition. It’s a world where the longing for universal human values grows ever louder, one that both fascinates and unsettles, sparking reflection and urging action.

FISURAS
The seventeen stories included in this book show, from multiple perspectives and in very diverse political, social and cultural contexts, the fragility of vital spaces built by people in their quest for peace, happiness and harmony. Against a background of rich experience and in an accessible language, these stories invite us to reflect on the complex moral universe of an ever changing world and on the unstable position that humans hold in it with their longings, fears and hopes.
